Making A Purchase

Shopping within our store couldn't be easier. Just click on the store department that you require on the left hand side of the page and then click on the section sub heading which will take you to our fantastic range of named product brands such as Heinz, Robertson's, Cadbury, Colman's, Walker's, McVities, Cross & Blackwell, Kellogg's, Nescafe, PG Tips, Jordan's, Marmite and Nestle.

Next, select the item you want by clicking the quantity box and then add to basket. That item will then be added to your shopping trolley. To review any item ordered click on the shopping trolley icon (top right of page) at any time.

Once you are satisfied with your choices go to the checkout where you will be taken through an easy to navigate checkout process. You will then be asked for a few details that we need to complete the order.

Sometimes an item may not be in stock. In this unlikely event we will offer a substitute of equal or greater value so that we can satisfy your order. Should an item be unavailable and no substitute available then we shall credit your credit/debit card with the full amount of the unavailable goods as soon as practitable but certainly within 30 days from date of order. You will of course be notified of this event.

We accept payment by most credit and debit cards and if ordering by post, cheque.

Shipping And Handling

In order to supply our service we need to work closely with our Courier (logistics) partners and only use reputable international carriers. We have negotiated very keen delivery prices with Parcel Force for our consignments up to 30kg. In the unlikely event that your order exceeds this weight then we will contact you to notify you of delivery and price for a heavier consignment.

An alternative carrier can be used should you so wish.

Customs regulations vary throughout the world and all deliveries are subject to the Customs regulations and restrictions of local authorities. Therefore it is your responsibility (the purchaser) that when ordering any goods that they are authorised for entry to the intended destination and that you are legally entitled to order such goods.

britsbuy.com(Britsbuy Limited) cannot be held responsible for any items opened, damaged or confiscated in any way by the customs authorities. You are also responsible for any import duties and local taxes that may be imposed. Should you have any doubt then please contact the relevant customs authority.

The risk passes to you once the order is collected by the courier. We cannot be held responsible for any taxes, duties etc. which may be applied once your package has been dispatched from the UK.

As stated, the couriers are recognized international companies but even they get it wrong sometimes so if that happens we cannot be held responsible. However, should an unfortunate incident arise that is out of our control we will of course do
everything possible to assist in rectifying it. They have standard compensation clauses in place. Should an item require special cover please arrange this at time of order as we cannot be held responsible for items under insured.

Should we not be able to deliver your order within a reasonably practable time and certainly no longer than 30 days then we reserve to right to contact you and arrange another delivery date or to cancel any such order and refund any monies paid.

We will only use the correct packaging for the weight of goods ordered.

Goods may be delivered in installments if agreed by you or if weight restrictions necessitate.

Should you use our service to forward goods from other companies all consignements will be liable to a negotiated handling charge and all import/export and customs restrictions and regulations.

We consider ourselves an environmentally friendly company and in support of a greener and better ecological world re-cycle wherever possible.

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are made by recognised reputable couriers to the address given in your order and an acceptance signature will be required upon delivery/receipt of goods.

Our aim is to process your order within 5 days. The relevant delivery schedule is in addition to this.

Obviously should delays be unavoidable due to unforeseen circumstances then notification will be made as soon as practicably possible.

In some circumstances goods availability may necessitate delivery in instalments. Your permission will be sought should this be the case.

Risk of goods passes to you upon collection of the order from britsbuy.com by the courier.

britsbuy.com will not be responsible for any taxes and costs applying to the order parcel once collected by the courier.

If we cannot deliver your goods within 30 days we shall refund in full the purchase price of goods as soon as practicable but in any event no later than 30 days from date of order.

britsbuy.com shall incur no liability whatsoever due to any consequence of delayed delivery or force majeure.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we can back order for you. This may delay the consignment. Alternatively a replacement of similar or greater value will be offered to allow the order to be fulfilled.

You have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For goods ordered from and delivered within the UK or the European Union, VAT is added at the prevailing rate, which is currently 17.5%.
All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero.

Customs regulations vary widely from country to country. We have no control over these and it is suggested that you contact your local customs office for further information. When placing an order for goods you are acknowledging that you are legally permitted to order such items in your country of residence. Any liability arising in connection with the local regulations, taxes and duties is your responsibility entirely.
Customs Departments make periodic checks and britsbuy.com(Britsbuy Limited) will not be held responsible for the re-imbursement of goods or carriage paid on any order should the local authorities chose to open, or confiscate any item.

Credit Card Security

We only use HSBC e-payment card services. All credit/debit card details are encrypted in the software when an order is placed using the latest 128-bit encryption. The details are only decrypted by the bank (HSBC plc).
At no time are your credit/debit card details held our database or website.

It is you the customer who will ultimately decide if our business becomes successful therefore we want to know when we get our service right and more importantly when we get our service wrong. If any part of our service to you should prove unsatisfactory please e-mail, telephone or write outlining your complaint at your earliest convenience. You can rest assured that we will then endeavour to put things right immediately and just as importantly review our service so that it does not happen in the future.

Prices

All prices listed are our current prices at time of order. We are sure that you accept that mistakes can be made when uploading information onto the site and whilst every endeavour is made to ensure that this does not happen prices may vary between displayed price and the price at time of order. Should any difference become apparent and the correct price is higher than that displayed we will e-mail you and offer you the chance to cancel that item.

This does not affect statutory rights.

Returns Policy

If you are dissatisfied with the goods contained in any part of your order you may return them within seven (7) working days from the date of delivery of goods to you subject to the following;

All goods remain in their original condition, have not been tampered with and are undamaged;

All goods remain in their original packaging and are returned securely wrapped with all original paperwork;

Written notification of return;

All return goods are sent at your own expense;

We cannot accept returns for perishable goods such as food;

Any refund will be made for the purchase price of the goods returned and be made to the credit/debit card within 30 days of receipt of returned goods;

A charge may be incurred by you for the direct cost of recovering the goods should you not return them within 21 days or in accordance with any of the above;

Damaged Goods

All damages must be reported within seven (7) days of receipt of goods. Customers will be entitled to a full refund or replacement for that item.

Cancellation of Order

Cancellation of order can be made within three (3) days of placing an order and will incur a 10% administration charge of total value of refund. If you wish to cancel please e-mail or telephone giving name, address and order number.

Remittance Terms All payments need to be made in pounds sterling (GBP) and we accept most major credit/debit cards. Payment can also be made by cheque but please allow clearance of funds before we process any order.
